The Post Interview Follow-up

When the interview is over, the hard work of getting your job is done. It is advisable though to follow up with a brief thank you note, for the time taken in considering your application. 

Unless you were given a specific date by which time all applicants would be advised of the results of their interview, if you have heard nothing from the employer in a week or so, call their offices to enquire whether they have reached a decision.

If they haven't, ask as to when you could expect to hear from them. If you then still don't get an answer, try again a week later.
