How Should I Act?

Show Confidence

You need to portray a confident and positive image when you attend your interview. A defeatist attitude or the impression of one, should be avoided, as it will probably cost you the job. Show confidence in your abilities without appearing arrogant.

You are trying to demonstrate to the interviewer that you have all the required attributes of a successful applicant, and that you will fit in well with your potential colleagues. Describe your accomplishments accurately but modestly, and without going into too much detail.

And understand that body language plays an important part in conveying to others how you feel at any time. So, sit up straight and keep your head up. Practice good posture.

Show a Positive Attitude

Endeavour to keep smiling and to maintain a positive demeanour during your interview. If something that is said, suggests to you that you aren't doing well or that you don't have a good answer ready, whatever you do, don't look concerned or worried. Keep smiling until it is your turn to speak. If you have questions or concerns, put them to the interviewer when the time is right.
